Following the ANZAC Dawn services on Thursday morning, the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club flooded with patrons for the official unveiling of ‘ANZAC Walk’. A ceremony and plaque marked the occasion, with short speeches from the CEO, President and Vice-President giving a warm welcome to the memorial.
The ANZAC Walk is a sensitive and respectful tribute to past servicemen and women, creating a contemplative transition from the arrival sequence into the main areas of the Club. The wall itself continues the 50-year tradition of remembrance, displaying small name plaques of the people who served and passed on.
The feedback from the Club is extremely positive and we hope ANZAC Walk continues to be a monument of respectful and personal reflection.
Thanks to the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club for allowing us the opportunity to create such an important memorial.
