The CFMEU (ACT) commercial fitout unites the refined skills of selected trades with striking use of materials and particular craftsmanship throughout this industrial-style workplace. Open work areas, circulation paths and laneways, meeting rooms, offices and wet areas all feature diverse raw elements such as concrete, brickwork, glass, timber, steel, blockwork, copper, soft finishes, incisions, graphics or a hint of colour that contributes to the overall enlivening experience of the space.
The materiality and construction detail is fascinating, allowing an exciting exploration of a particular item, material or detail before a distraction onto another around the corner, creating simple yet exciting and unplanned meandering though the fitout.
